The “Facebook” set contains 50 watercolor portrait cards of children, youth, adults, mature people and old people of both sexes. Portraits often contain accessories that hint at the occupation of the depicted person. The set of portraits is completely different from the “Family Album” deck.  It’s good to have both sets for work, they are visually perceived in different ways and perfectly complement each other.

These cards develop communicative abilities; teach how to empathize with other people and search for positive and linking aspects in others.

The set contains 50 portraits of children, youth, adults, mature people and old people of both sexes. Portraits are based on photographs of members of my family and close friends who can be considered a family or people who had a great influence on me.

In the field of psychotherapy and psychology the cards may be used for spatial vision of client`s family and other relationships, manifestation of self-conditions of a Parent, Adult and Child, study of client`s self-relation at different ages, working through relationship crisis as much as working with grief due to the loss of a loved one through death.

It is possible to order “Family Album” and “Facebook” decks in one box and it’s cheaper than buying them separately.

Description

“Facebook” cards are a part of a big family of metaphoric cards of association (also referred to as
therapeutic or projective cards). Their purpose is to promote self-awareness and human self-disclosure, to
improve self-arrangement. These cards develop communicative abilities; teach how to empathize with other
people and search for positive and linking aspects in others.
In the field of psychotherapy and psychology the cards may be used for spatial vision of client`s
family and other relationships, manifestation of self-conditions of a Parent, Adult and Child, study of client`s
self-relation at different ages, working through relationship crisis as much as working with grief due to the
loss of a loved one through death.
Anyone may use “Facebook” deck in his private life for study of existent events of his personal,
partnership, intimate, friendly or family relationship with his partners or family members. Also, this deck may
be used when alone in order to bring inner conflicts to the level of consciousness and search for their
solution, become aware of sincere relationships with different people and phenomena, enhancement of
personal motivation, and work through emotions.
When choosing a card you shouldn`t base yourself upon just formal resemblance: it`s better to look
for facial expression, emotion, or similar message sent to the world. Depicted human`s gender, race and age
are irrelevant during your choice.

Exercises using “Facebook” cards:

Victory over the crisis. Choose an image depicting you in the time of one of life crises. Arrange images
depicting your loved ones who helped you to survive the crisis around it. Utter the deeds performed by these
people that have managed to support you in the time of crisis, the resources they have filled you with, and
the things that helped you. Draw the conclusions related to the use of these resources in future in case of
another possible crisis.

Significant people. Choose images that may depict three people who strongly influenced the achievement of
your personhood. Choose three images depicting you in relationships with these people. Arrange the images
in pairs and engage them in a dialogue. Additionally address significant people in the name of yourself-in-
the-past and yourself-in-the-present.
Important events. Choose several important events in your life and match images depicting you in the time of
those events. Analyze the distinctive features of chosen images and facial expressions. Think of another
important event in days to come. Choose “self” image matching this event. Comment on the reason why
have you chosen this image.

Social network. Place the image depicting you for the moment in the center of the space. Arrange the
images of your loved ones like family members, friends, colleagues, and neighbors, which is to say the
people who you communicate constantly and closely with and who form your personal human universe,
around. Arrange these images closer or farther to each other, depending on their kinship with respect to
yourself and whether they maintain relations with each other. Consider the resulting picture with respect to
availability of vacancies and voids, or vice versa, with respect to availability of a stress when some people
approach each other, leave your comment.

Parent-Adult-Child. Choose three cards from a deck that in your opinion depict your three self-conditions:
you are a parent, you are a child, and you are an adult. Please leave your comment on your choice.
Compare common and distinct traits of these images. Add new images to the chosen cards that represent
your own children; a card for each child. Compare similarities and distinctions of images representing inner
child and your children. Express your emotional attitude.

Family arrangement/constellation. Spread out the cards from a deck depicting your family in front of you. Arrange the
“images” of your family members in the space according to their actual kinship or distancing between the
relatives of your family. Leave your comment on your choice and cards arrangement. Conduct a dialogue
between family members and figure out what they want to tell you and what relatives who shut off
themselves from other relatives might say to them. Is there anything that might help them to get closer?
What exactly could it be?

Relationship closure. Choose the cards that represent persons of the opposite sex who considerably
influenced your relationships, and a card or several cards depicting you in the relationship with these people.

Arrange the cards representing you in the center and arrange other “images” around.
Consider each pair of cards. Are these relationships broken up? What kind of emotions is experienced?
What would you like to say to each of these people? What kind of advice could you offer for yourself when
maintaining such in the terms of your current experience? What could these people, your former partners,
say to each other in case they meet each other?
